I was browsing through SPACE NK online - just window shopping, you know... ;) Then a pop-up came up asking if I wanted any assistance. I was like, yeah sure! Ever since Ruth from A Model Recommends raved about the new Eve Lom Mineral Powder Foundation, I was curious myself. However, I was unsure of the best colour match. The SA on the online customer service chat was extremely helpful and asked lots of questions about my skin tone, etc then made a recommendation. To my pleasant surprise she also offered to send me some samples of a few shades! I thought that was so cool and she stuck them in an envelope and sent them through straight away. That was probably the best online (albeit window) shopping experience I've had. ^_^ I got them in the mail fairly quick, too - probably a week if my memory serves me right? From the UK to Australia. Pretty speedy. So below are the little plastic pots of samples in the shades: 3 Beige, 4 Petal and 5 Honey from left to right. Their darkest shade is number 6 Blush and lightest is 1 Alabaster (so currently, 6 available shades).
Here's what Eve Lom have to say about the product:

Swatches
Swatches were applied on my tanned, olive skin tone (~NC35). All photographed indoors with natural lighting and using a strobe.
Hopefully you can see in the photograph that number 3 appears to have a yellow undertone, whereas 4 has a pink undertone. Surprisingly number 4 is the lightest of the three shades. Number 5 is the darkest of the three with quite a warm, apricot undertone (that you can better see in person under natural lighting I'm afraid!). I was hoping number 3 would work for me even though I could tell it was a shade or two lighter than my current tanned skin as I have a strong yellow olive undertone, however, when blended onto my face with a kabuki brush, it actually looked more pink and gave my face a grey, dead-looking cast. Weird and unfortunate. :-( All three were too light and gave the same grey cast on me. Number 4 was a touch more brightening though.
So overall, I would highly recommend you try these on yourself at a counter (or ask them to send you samples!) as the shade does vary on application compared to how it looks in the pot! (You can already see how much lighter they are when swatched compared to what they look like the second photo above).
Below: blended out more (but not completely).

I found you don't need a lot of product for normal use all over your face. A little goes a long way, and you can build a layer at a time if you need more coverage, but I'd say it gives a light to medium coverage overall.
The texture is beautiful. Very soft, ultra finely milled and blends wonderfully. It gives a lovely sheen to the skin, but only at certain angles in sunlight. It's very natural and doesn't look caky, or powdery - in fact, you can't tell you have anything on. I was worried that it may accentuate and sit on top of any dry patches of my skin, but it didn't at all. It felt very comfortable throughout the day. I did not experience any oiliness and lasted very well from morning til evening. (Note, it is cooler weather where I'm at and I currently have dry skin, but can get a slightly oily T-zone).
If only they had a shade to match me, then I would definitely purchase it.
For now, I will continue to use my Becca Boudoir Skin Mineral Powder Foundation, which has the best match for my yellow skin tone and I've been using this for years. I'd say both have similar coverage. Eve Lom's has a more luminous finish and has a more refined powder, but granted it is a loose powder compared to Becca's pressed powder.
Overall
I highly recommend you check this out if you're in the market for a great mineral powder foundation. You may have better luck than I did finding your shade.
Hope this was helpful.
Thanks for looking. ^_^ xo
